Almost a week ago, I led my first writing circle on stories our bodies tell us. I wrote about the experience on the bloggy blog.

I've been cackling over these Bernie memes the last coupla days

I've been volunteering with API Chaya, a holistic domestic violence services agency for a teensers over a year. Most of my volunteer work has focused on RISE!, with survivors of sexual violence, to explore what feeling whole again looks like for each person and re-claiming a sense of self. Sooooo on January 23 I'm facilitating a writing workshop over Zoom.

These feelings of not being seen, of being a burden that takes up space always bubble back up around November and December.

My blog is 2! Like I did last year, I'm writing an anniversary post. This past year has affirmed my purpose as a story teller and cultural archivist. I've learned more about how vulnerability and joy can co-exist, how to move out of love for myself and not out of fear, and how to listen to what my body needs and take breaks. How to choose myself on this journey of living out loud.
